unplanned pregnancy
Question from Nelly on 5/2/2019:

Hello,

I read an article about why women chose abortion and one of the reasons is they fear rejection of the parents or the community. I find this difficult to understand that the community wouldn't assist in every way. I'm wondering if what I'm reading is accurate. Also, wouldn't God help that mother and child if she plans to raise it herself or put the child up for adoption? Otherwise, I can see this would be a very difficult situation. Any insight into this would be appreciated. Thanks, Ornella

Nelly

You read a perfect piece of propaganda designed to convince young expectant mothers who are frightened that indeed aborting her baby is the best idea.

The truth is that there are people in every community who would help and there are wonderful Catholic services for women who are pregnant and feel alone. The problem is that propaganda like that in the media never tells the full truth.
