Live or let die
Question from Ursula on 5/11/2019:

My mother is very sick in the hospital. She can not eat anything because a lot of the food goes into her lungs when she swallows.Right now she is already skin and bones. The hospital is suggesting to just disconnect all the tubes and let her die and are calling it "nature taking it's course". To me it seems like a death by starvation. Please give me guidance on what to decide.

I am not familiar with your mother's case but I do know that if food is going into her lungs when she eats and she is skin and bones, she needs to be tube fed, not killed. Good grief, what are her care givers thinking? She is a human being, not a dog.

Sorry, but these types of cases blow my mind. Please tell me more and if you think you should, consult a different doctor.
