Chicken Adobo

INGREDIENTS:

6 Pieces of Chicken

Soy Sauce 

Black Peppercorns

Coconut Milk 

Sugar 

Salt & Pepper

White Rice 

Rice Wine Vinegar

Coconut Cream 

2 Garlic Cloves 

1 Onion 

2-3 Bay Leaves 

Curry Powder 

Oil 

 

How To Make:

  1. Break down the chicken. 
  2. Add 1 tbsp of oil to a deep pan on medium-high heat. 
  3. Add chicken to the pan. 
  4. Add 2 tbsp of salt and pepper. 
  5. Allow chicken to brown. 
  6. Flip chicken and season with salt and pepper. 
  7. Chop the onion into quarter-inch pieces. 
  8. Peel and cut 2 garlic cloves. 
  9. Add onions and garlic to the chicken.
  10. Add 2 tbsp sugar. 
  11. Add 2 tsp of black peppercorns. 
  12. Add 2 tsp of curry powder. 
  13. Add 1 ½ cups of Rice Wine Vinegar. 
  14. Add 1 cup of Soy Sauce. 
  15. Pour water to the top of the chicken. 
  16. Stir in all ingredients and mix. 
  17. Add bay leaves.
  18. Allow the recipe to cook for 10-15 minutes covered. 
  19. Then, cook for 10 minutes uncovered to allow the sauce to thicken. 
  20. Add ½ cup of coconut cream/coconut milk. 
  21. Plate chicken and serve with rice. 
  22. Ladle some sauce from the pan onto the chicken and rice.
