Customer Service Representative

JOB SUMMARY

TITLE:                 Customer Service Representative

REPORTS TO:    Viewer Services Manager

DEPARTMENT:   Viewer Services

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Viewer Services Manager, this position responds to customer inquiries and performs a variety of duties related to Customer Service in accordance with Network policies and procedures. Develops and maintains rapport with customers (via phone, letter, or e-mail) and works to give them the best possible service in both a timely and courteous manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives, researches, and answers customer inquiries and requests (written or telephone) regarding order status, changes, adjustments, and cancellations.
  • Works with customers to offer alternatives to resolve problems.
  • Receives, researches and answers phone centers requests and inquiries.
  • Inputs credit cards and researches all declined credit card customers to verify card number, expiration date, etc.
  • Accesses computer system to retrieve customer information, status of orders, make changes on the customer’s order and input credit card and check customer names into the donor file.  Ensures that correct information is used for retrieving and inputting of data.
  • Receives and answers inquiries from other departments regarding Customer Service responsibilities.
  • Follows up on customer inquiries and research to assure satisfactory completion of order.
  • Completes entry of Internet orders on a daily basis.
  • Enters Spanish web orders manually.
  • Informs Viewer Services Manager or Director of Viewer Services of customer-identified damaged merchandise problems and coordinates all customer information (credit and customer file) to reflect this transaction.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and present solutions relating to potential customer service problem areas.
  • Identifies needs and makes recommendations regarding revisions to policy and procedure.
  • Remains current on changes in policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares routine reports and assists the Assistant Buyer and Viewer Services Manager with special projects as needed.
  • Directs inquiries from customers not related to Religious Catalogue activities to the appropriate department.
  • Perform month-end procedures via Ability Commerce.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in Customer Service
  • Exhibit good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Adept in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); other computer programs as required
  • Strong data-entry skills.
  • Be a team player and have the ability to work in harmony with others.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates and models EWTN’s values in interactions and behaviors, displaying the highest degree of integrity, confidentiality and instilling trust.
  • Provides policy guidance, interpretation and assistance in implementing all procedures and programs.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, review job descriptions and outline success profiles.  Interviews and screens applicants and provides guidance to managers on interviewing, selection and hiring practices.

  • Analyzes trends and metrics and makes recommendations for solutions.  Develops and maintains standard reports and special requests.
  • Supports and assists in implementing organizational change initiatives aligned with the Network’s mission.
  • May conduct new employee Orientation and/or assist with process.
  • Assists in identifying and implementing training needs.
  • Reviews and recommends process improvements to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains immigration records and assists as needed.
  • Participates in HR team initiatives and other duties as assigned.
  • Travels to field offices as necessary (minimal).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ Human Resources experience at the Generalist/Manager level with proven ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be well versed in employment laws and regulations and maintain current knowledge of all changes and trends. 
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to inspire confidence and trust.

IT Support Technician II

JOB SUMMARY

TITLE:                  IT Support Technician II

REPORTS TO:    Director of Information Services

GENERAL SUMMARY: The IT Support Technician II will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of hardware and software, including the following OS platforms: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, and latest Mac OS.  Will provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the EWTN Network Environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware, mobile devices, Windows 7 & 10 OS, Office 2013/2016 and other authorized desktop applications and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide direct end user assistance where required
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PCs, laptops, printers, scanners and cell phones) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment unless prohibited by existing customer warranties
  • Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring service to client personal computers (PCs) or laptops that have authorized access to the network
  • Anticipate trends by monitoring and analyzing incoming calls, problems, and support requests.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software
  • Clean and repair computer hardware, such as keyboards and printers.
  • Use approved tools and methodologies to image, copy and configure systems for deployment

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Librarian Assistant is responsible for maintaining the Networks programming library; including classifying, logging, and tracking all network program videos.  This position is also responsible for accurately maintaining an inventory database used to track all programming videos.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures program inventory database is maintained daily with entries and information about video programs.
  • Pulls, checks out, and re-shelves video programs for network personnel including Producers, Editors, and Promotion.
  • Prepare programs for offsite storage.
  • Ensures program videos get to dub station to be pushed for Home Video.
  • Makes sure program videos get to TOC and then to dub station for transcription.
  • Catalogs IP tapes to be stored offsite.   
  • Keeps daily Mass schedule.
  • Inputs shows into inventory database on a weekly basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in broadcast/cable TV production/programming.
  • Familiarity with EWTN programming.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Non-Linear Editor executes the editing of video material for a production, promotional and/or marketing piece.  This includes set up and operation of all editing equipment, video, and audio sources to provide quality broadcast programming.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates with producers on a specific project.
  • Works directly with writer/producer or from scripted pre-formatted materials to perform editorial functions resulting in satisfactory project completion.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to complete editing assigned task (Record Decks, Computer Software, Audio Mixer, Routers, etc.).
  • Compile completion and file all trouble reports related to equipment and present to appropriate parties for further directions.
  • Ensures all projects completed in a timely manner, meeting all existing technical and stylistic protocols.
  • Properly labels all materials and submits to Quality Control.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry standards, (linear and non-linear, digital and analog) and trends related to post production field.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and maintaining suppression lists for direct mail vendors and distributing on a timely, consistent basis.
  • Managing archives for print and digital appeals.
  • Updating the Mission Advancement online calendar and communication portal, to include working with vendors to obtain digital files.
  • Coordinating the EWTN repository to include scanning, summarizing and tagging donor testimonials.

Payroll Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

TITLE:                 Payroll Supervisor

REPORTS TO:    Financial Manager

DEPARTMENT:   Accounting

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Payroll Supervisor manages and processes all facets of the organizations payroll and payroll systems including the bi-weekly multi-state payroll for EWTN and its affiliates.  The Supervisor oversees the daily activities and workflow of the payroll assistant, and supports the Financial Managers and Chief Financial Officer with various payroll and other projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing of payroll account transactions (salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions and taxes) in accordance with EWTN policy as well as several state, local and federal employment compensation laws
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately through ADP Workforce now.
  • Review current payroll practices and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency of the payroll process
  • Ensure all state tax issues (withholding, workers compensation, etc.) are handled timely and accurately
  • Ensure timely submission of all time and labor reports          
  • Research new state laws regarding payroll issues that may affect current employees
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes, as well as assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, garnishments and tax filing
  • Administer EWTN paid time off (PTO) and sick bank in accordance with EWTN Policy
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll related questions to employees and management
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal employment tax requirements and court-ordered wage garnishment orders
  • Calculate monies owed to courts based on wage garnishment laws of each individual state
  • Establish procedures to ensure the accuracy of employee payroll records and reports retained in the payroll network drives
  • Oversee the timely recording of payroll related journal entries and employee advance payments in the general ledger
  • Reconcile various payroll-related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Provide detailed analytical Reports to EWTN management, benefits providers and local, state, and federal governments
  • Administer employee loan program disbursements
  • Liaise with auditors and oversee payroll audits
  • Supervise and train payroll assistant
  • Coordinate payroll orientation of new hires
  • Oversee the maintenance of EWTN’s ADP time clocks
  • Work closely with Human Resources to process new hires, benefits, leaves of absences, terminations, 403(b) plan, etc. and answer related payroll questions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 to 5 years payroll administration experience
  • Experienced with multistate payroll reporting
  • Advanced abilities in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now software
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of groups and individuals
  • Ability to establish work priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll data and records

GENERAL SUMMARY: The EWTN Production Assistant is responsible for the technical setup and operation of all audio related production functions in the studio or in the field, including interviews, music, voice-overs, telephone interfaces, roll-ins, and any other audio effects that may be required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates with the Director, Producer and Management on audio requirements and setup required for both studio and remote productions.
  • Sets up and positions microphones for talent, music and/or ambient sound as the production requires.
  • Responsible for proper selection and operation of all audio related equipment.
  • Maintains proper source levels (microphones, clip players, decks, telephone interface, CD, etc.) and relational perspective as production requires.
  • Files equipment trouble reports as necessary.
  • Assists in setting up and taking down sets and production equipment in the studio and in the field.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The EWTN Security Officer provides campus presence and surveillance to ensure the safety and security of all employees, guests and visitors.  Patrols network grounds on a continuous basis and offers assistance and information to the general public.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs campus surveillance by vehicle or walking to ensure security and watches for situations that could result in injury or loss due to potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Screens all vehicles at the Network entrances and monitors activity at or near assigned post.  Maintains a sense of vigilance for undesirable, dangerous, or counterproductive activities or individuals.
  • Monitors camera activity, fire protection systems and other devices from a control room and dispatches calls as necessary.
  • Relays critical information to other security personnel as necessary.
  • Provides accurate and timely written or verbal information/instruction to all vendors, visitors, pilgrims, or anyone conducting business with the Network.
  • Reviews and has personal knowledge of the Safety and Security daily postings and instructions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor audio output of all feeds being broadcast.
  • Manually and automatically tune 500kw transmitters.
  • Maintain daily program schedules and FCC transmitter logs.
  • Executes operating instructions as required or as needed.
  • Performs technical assignments.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting, fault isolation and program analysis for optimum performance.
  • Assist Senior Operator in technical assignments.

  • Operate live shots.
  • Operate streaming video equipment like LiveU.
  • Assist the Production Manager with managing the freelance photographers and the field production equipment, including company vehicles.

  • Assist in the control room during show production (robotics, tape operator, teleprompter, floor directing, delivering scripts).
  • Drive ENN crew vehicles.
