On Sunday, 12 September 2021, the Holy Father flew to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, where he would celebrate the concluding Mass of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress, after which he planned to spend “a few days in Slovakia,” before celebrating in Bratislava the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, the Patron Saint of that country. He would return to Rome on Wednesday, 15 September.
