FRANCISCAN MISSIONARIES OF JESUS CRUCIFIED

I am presntly a Novice in the Secular Franciscan Order of the Living Word Fratenity, Lansdale, PA., and am paralyzed from the chest down due to an accident. During our annual retreat, a priest of the Order of Benedict Groshell, CFFR, Fr. Glenn, recommended that I get in touch with a Secular Institute, the Franciscan Missionaries of Jesus Crucified, founded in 1987 in the Diocese of Albany, NY. This is the only indiginous Secular Institute founded in America. It is primarily for the disabled of all kinds or anyone willing or called to help people who suffer in any way. The main charism of the Institute is to help Jesus carry his cross and unite our suffering with his for the conversion of sinners and the Church.

Memebers of the FMJC spend eight years in formation like their religious counterparts but live in the world not in community before taking the public eveangelical council vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. A candidate must be in a single state, celibate, in order to be considered for this life.

This is a call from God for those who wish to strengthen their committment to Christ through the consecrated life. Anyone interested in this lifestyle may contact me at: MARKDENSLOW@delphi.com or Mark Denslow, 500 Fairhill Street, Willow Grove, PA 19090 215/659-8775 or the head of the Institute:
