Mushroom Gratin Soup

Description:

Celebrate the healing waters of Lourdes with this unique cheesy soup, inspired by ingredients found in Southwest France.

Serves: 2 People

Cook Time: 20 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 Tbsp Butter

½ Onion, sliced thinly

2 cups of Portobello & Button Mushrooms, sliced thinly

1 clove of Garlic, minced

2 Tbsp White Wine

2 cups of Beef Broth

8 slices of Baguette Bread

2 -3 slices of Provolone Cheese

Fresh Thyme to garnish

 

How To Make:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Sauté until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms begin to caramelize.
  4. Add wine and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add beef broth and stir ingredients together.
  6. Divide the soup into two separate oven-safe bowls.
  7. Place baguette slices on top of the soup.
  8. Place the cheese over the bread.
  9. Put the soup bowl on a baking dish and place it in the oven for 5 -8 minutes. 
  10. Garnish with fresh thyme.
