Parisian Burger & French Fries

Description:

The layering of flavors reminds us that Paris is layered with God’s holiness. We build on the foundation of faith, which hopefully builds us up on our way to heaven.

Serves: 2 People

Cook Time: 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

2 Croissants, halved to make a top and bottom

½ lb ground beef

½ onion, thinly sliced

2 slices of melty cheese (Provolone or American)

Arugula

1 tsp olive oil

2 Tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 large potato, peeled and cut into strips

4 cups of frying oil

Salt and Pepper to taste

How To Make Parisian Burger:

  1. For burger preparation, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In an oven-safe pan, add olive oil and saute the onions until they turn translucent. Separate onions into 2 separate circles.
  3. Divide the ground beef into two burger patties and flatten the meat on top of the onions. Season beef with a pinch of salt and pepper.  Cook for 2-3 minutes before carefully flipping the burgers.
  4. Add cheese and the top of the croissant. Place the bottom half of the croissant on the pan.
  5. Put the pan in the oven and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the bun is toasted.
  6. Prepare the Dijon mayonnaise by mixing the Dijon mustard with the traditional mayonnaise. Spread this onto the bun and top it off with some arugula.

How To Make French Fries:

  1. Heat the oil to 325 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare the fries.
  2. Cut potatoes into strips, rinse with cold water, and pat dry with a paper towel before carefully adding the fries to the oil. Cook for 5-7 minutes and remove.
  3. Turn up the heat to 375 degrees and cook fries again until they are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove fries from the oil. Season with salt and pepper and place on a paper towel to drain the grease.
