Genesis 17:1, 9-10, 15-22
1When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram, and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.
9And God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.
10This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your descendants after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised.
15And God said to Abraham, “As for Sarʹai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarʹai, but Sarah shall be her name.
16I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her; I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall come from her.”
17Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”
18And Abraham said to God, “O that Ishʹmael might live in thy sight!”
19God said, “No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasing covenant for his descendants after him.
20As for Ishʹmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him and make him fruitful and multiply him exceedingly; he shall be the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
21But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this season next year.”
22When he had finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.

Psalms 128:1-5
1Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!
2You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.
3Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.
4Lo, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD.
5The LORD bless you from Zion! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life!
Gospel
Matthew 8:1-4
1When he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him;
2and behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”
3And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to any one; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to the people.”

2 Timothy 2:22-26
22So shun youthful passions and aim at righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call upon the Lord from a pure heart.
23Have nothing to do with stupid, senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.
24And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to every one, an apt teacher, forbearing,
25correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth,
26and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

John 17:20-26
20“I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word,
21that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
23I in them and thou in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them even as thou hast loved me.
24Father, I desire that they also, whom thou hast given me, may be with me where I am, to behold my glory which thou hast given me in thy love for me before the foundation of the world.
25O righteous Father, the world has not known thee, but I have known thee; and these know that thou hast sent me.
26I made known to them thy name, and I will make it known, that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
