Wisdom 6:1-11
1Listen therefore, O kings, and understand; learn, O judges of the ends of the earth.
2Give ear, you that rule over multitudes, and boast of many nations.
3For your dominion was given you from the Lord, and your sovereignty from the Most High, who will search out your works and inquire into your plans.
4Because as servants of his kingdom you did not rule rightly, nor keep the law, nor walk according to the purpose of God,
5he will come upon you terribly and swiftly, because severe judgment falls on those in high places.
6For the lowliest man may be pardoned in mercy, but mighty men will be mightily tested.
7For the Lord of all will not stand in awe of any one, nor show deference to greatness; because he himself made both small and great, and he takes thought for all alike.
8But a strict inquiry is in store for the mighty.
9To you then, O monarchs, my words are directed, that you may learn wisdom and not transgress.
10For they will be made holy who observe holy things in holiness, and those who have been taught them will find a defense.
11Therefore set your desire on my words; long for them, and you will be instructed.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalms 82:3-4, 6-7
3Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
6I say, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
7nevertheless, you shall die like men, and fall like any prince.”
Gospel
Luke 17:11-19
11On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samarʹia and Galilee.
12And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance
13and lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”
14When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed.
15Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice;
16and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan.
17Then said Jesus, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?
18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”
19And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

Isaiah 61:1-3
1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
3to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalms 89:2-5, 21-22, 25, 27
1I will sing of thy steadfast love, O LORD, for ever; with my mouth I will proclaim thy faithfulness to all generations.
2For thy steadfast love was established for ever, thy faithfulness is firm as the heavens.
3Thou hast said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant:
4‘I will establish your descendants for ever, and build your throne for all generations.’ ” Selah
20I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him;
21so that my hand shall ever abide with him, my arm also shall strengthen him.
24My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
26He shall cry to me, ‘Thou art my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’
Gospel
Matthew 25:31-40
31“When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
33and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
34Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
35for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
36I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
37Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
38And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
39And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?’
40And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.’
