Acts 18:23-28
23After spending some time there he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phrygʹia, strengthening all the disciples.
24Now a Jew named Apolʹlos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, well versed in the scriptures.
25He had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John.
26He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him and expounded to him the way of God more accurately.
27And when he wished to cross to Achaʹia, the brethren encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed,
28for he powerfully confuted the Jews in public, showing by the scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalms 47:2-3, 8-10
1Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
2For the LORD, the Most High, is terrible, a great king over all the earth.
7For God is the king of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!
8God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.
9The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!
Gospel
John 16:23-28
23In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name.
24Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
25“I have said this to you in figures; the hour is coming when I shall no longer speak to you in figures but tell you plainly of the Father.
26In that day you will ask in my name; and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you;
27for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from the Father.
28I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

Ezekiel 18:21-23, 27-28
21“But if a wicked man turns away from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
22None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness which he has done he shall live.
23Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
27Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he shall save his life.
28Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions which he had committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalms 103:1-4, 8, 10-12
1Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
4who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
10He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities.
11For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
12as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
Gospel
Luke 15:1-10
1Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him.
2And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”
3So he told them this parable:
4“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost, until he finds it?
5And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’
7Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
8“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it?
9And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost.’
10Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
