Ecumenical Events

Holy Land - In his encyclical Tertio Millennio Adveniente, Pope John Paul called for an assembly of all Christians, to take place during the Jubilee year in the land where Jesus lived. That event has not yet been scheduled.

Rome - Pentecost Sunday, an ecumenical day of prayer at St.Peter's Basilica.

Assisi -  an ecumenical event to take place at a date to be determined in October 2000.

Children - 2 January (Sunday in the Octave of Christmas/2nd Sunday of Christmas). In St. Peter's Basilica, celebration of the Day for Children.

Consecrated Life - 2 February (Feast of the Presentation of the Lord). In St. Peter's Basilica, the Liturgy of light and Holy Mass, and Jubilee of Consecrated Life.
