CHAPTER 140 — THE "SEXUAL REVOLUTION:" ANTI-LIFE GIFT TO MANKIND

The old taboos are dead or dying. A new, more permissive society is taking shape. Its outlines are etched most prominently in the arts in the increasing nudity and frankness of today's films, in the blunt, often obscene language seemingly endemic in American novels and plays, in the candid lyrics of pop songs and the undress of the avant-garde ballet, in erotic art and television talk shows, in freer fashions and franker advertising. The people are breaking the bonds of Puritan society and helping America to grow up.

Anti-Life Philosophy.
The Sexual Revolution is the most welcome social development of all time. Women, men, and children have been freed from all their hang-ups, sexual and otherwise, and are now finally free to live their lives as they choose.
Introduction.
Newsweek was right on the mark a quarter century ago as it cheered the demise of the "old taboos."
We as a society certainly have "grown up" but, in the process, we have lost what little innocence we did possess in the mid-1960s.
We have reaped all of the benefits of unfettered freedom, as well epidemics of sexually-transmitted diseases, tens of millions of abortions, unintended sterility on a massive scale, pornography that leads people to kill, a tripling of rape and child abuse, the near-destruction of both the family and marriage, and more than a hundred thousand deaths due to AIDS.
All of this for sexual freedom. But we knew all along that the Devil always exacts his price didn't we?
Today, we are freer than we ever were before as individuals. We are free to fornicate, sodomize, abort, make and peruse pornography, destroy our fertility permanently or temporarily, abandon our spouses and children, and 'shack up;' what more could we possibly want?
Nothing because there is nothing else! But are we as a society as free? Why is there more crime? More suicide? More people seeing psychiatrists? Why are we a desperately unhappy and paranoid country?
Could it have anything to do with our obsession with unlimited personal freedom? Could it be that the drive for unlimited personal freedom will actually lead to a general loss of our individual liberties?
Satan's Empty Promises...
Promise Them the Moon.
Early birth control pioneers promised us that the availability of free sex would create a literal Paradise on earth. If only they could have their way, abortion would end; there would be a virtual stop to all divorce, because married couples would be happier and more stable; child abuse and neglect would cease; even street crime would be eliminated.
In essence, both men and women would be 'freed up' for higher, creative pursuits.
Of course, the early birth control pushers promised us anything to get us to buy into their philosophy. Margaret Sanger, founder of the American Birth Control League (later Planned Parenthood), promised us that
[Because of birth control], child slavery, prostitution, feeble mindedness, physical deterioration, hunger, oppression and war will disappear from the earth. There will come a Plato who will be understood, a Socrates who will drink no hemlock, and a Jesus who will not die upon the cross. These and the race that is to be in America await upon a motherhood that is to be sacred because it is free.[1]
The writers of the 1929 work Sex and Civilization echoed Sanger when they wrote that "Women in the past have been confronted with the empty victories of political freedom, of economic freedom, of social freedom. But with the winning of biological freedom, women and men and children will enter triumphantly into an era that will in every sense be civilized."[2]
The sex and death peddlers are still at it, of course. The National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) promised us much more recently that
Legal abortion will decrease the number of illegitimate births ... A policy that makes contraception and abortion freely available will greatly reduce the number of unwanted children, and thereby curb the tragic rise of child abuse in our country ... Legal abortion will decrease the number of unwanted children, battered children, child abuse cases, and possibly subsequent delinquency, drug addiction, and a host of social ills believed to be associated with neglectful parenthood.[3]
The Fruit Revealed.
Did these promises bear fruit?
They certainly did, but the fruit was rotten indeed. Instead of all mankind's ills being eradicated due to the easy availability of birth control, they have all skyrocketed, as shown below;

Despite all of this tragedy, the libertines continue to insist that the only thing we need is more freedom to do anything we want. Too many "unwanted pregnancies?" The obvious solution is more free birth control and more taxpayer-funded abortions. Too many AIDS cases? The only solution is more privacy, more freedom, and, of course, more indoctrination (excuse me, I mean education).
Perhaps we could learn a few lessons from the example set by Sweden, which is considered by the country's sex experts to have reached all or most of the goals they set for themselves.
Sweden is in even worse shape than the United States. In Sweden in 1986, 48 percent of the 101,950 children born were illegitimate, and this figure has steadily risen past the 50 percent mark. Most children now live in one-parent homes or homes where one parent is shacking up with another person. The country's child abuse and neglect rates have soared, and crime against persons and property is steadily increasing as well.
Hans Nestius, the prime mover of Sweden's 'sexual revolution,' now admits he was wrong, saying that "We must bring back some rules, for it is not love that has spread, but sexual excesses and corruption."[4]
Fruits of the Sexual Revolution.
Introduction.
Every major social change has its identifying features, and the so-called 'Sexual Revolution' is no exception. Perhaps its most persistent identifying mark is that its participants have shed responsibility to a marked degree.
The 'Sexual Revolution' (and Neoliberalism) in essence embrace the idea that nobody is really responsible for his or her own actions. If someone does commit some act that is considered even beyond the elastic Neoliberal boundary of 'acceptable behavior,' such acts are not the fault of the person; they are always the fault of someone else, or of society unless, of course, they are 'crimes' against the Neoliberals, like racism, sexism, or homophobia.
Then the blame can be fixed very individually indeed.
The primary goal of the Sexual Revolution unlimited sexual freedom and gratification has been met. But the price has been very high indeed. Some of these social expenses are listed below and are described in the following paragraphs.
FRUITS OF THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION
(1) Increased violence, including rape;
(2) Destruction of marriages;
(3) Increased promiscuity;
(4) Increased abortions;
(5) Increased illegitimacy; and
(6) Exploding rates of venereal diseases.
Fruit #1: Violence and Rape.
Raping for Fun.
In April of 1989, thirty New York City teenagers received national attention when they went "wilding" in Central Park. "Wilding" consists of going on a rampage of violence for the pure fun of it, attacking, robbing and raping any person unfortunate enough to come in sight of the "wilders."
The New York kids went "wilding" purely for the fun of it and, among others, a female jogger lay in a coma as payment for their sadistic joy.
Incredibly, some Neoliberals jumped to the defense of the killer pack. According to the 'Rev.' Herbert Doughtry of Brooklyn, "All of us must share the blame. This is a violent society. We are all guilty for creating it, and we must work to eliminate it."[5]
Carl Dix, of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, had his opinion of who was responsible for the brutal assault. Guess who? SURPRISE!! "The rulers and their system!"[6]
Nobody is Really Responsible.
The stupidity of such statements is absolutely appalling. Notice the classic Neoliberal tactic: The murderer, rapist, or robber is never responsible for his actions. It is always someone else who's responsible. By diffusing the blame by saying that these killings are society's fault means that they are really nobody's responsibility. Therefore, it is nobody's job to do anything concrete about it! We as individuals are completely absolved of responsibility.
This attitude gives the most violent maniac the perfect excuse to do anything he wants, and is the perfect summation of the Neoliberal attitude that nobody is really responsible for his own actions.
Naturally, the 'victim syndrome' is in full force here; if a sodomite, abortion mill, or minority is the target of violence, there is an immediate outcry of rage from the Left; but if the target of violence is a member of the 'oppressing classes;' i.e., White and/or male, there is no problem.
This myopic attitude, of course, has led to a tripling in the rate of rape and child abuse over the last fifty years, as predators seek out those who are weaker than themselves and inflict violence upon them. Although the Neoliberals will deny the link to their dying breath, abortion legitimizes this type of violence.
Chapters 41 and 79 of Volume II respectively show that the rates of child abuse and rape really began to escalate about the time that abortion was legalized.
Fruit #2: The Destruction of Marriage.
More 'Shacking Up' Than Ever.
More than 40 percent of all couples in the United States now live together ('shack up') before marriage. Their reason: They want to make sure that they're "compatible." They don't want to rush into something that might not work and cause pain for everyone involved. They say that it's best to have a trial run first.
Just to make sure, you see.
Sound sensible? Of course it does! Is it sensible? Of course not!
James Bumpass, James Sweet, and Andrew Cherlin of the University of Wisconsin completed in 1989 a long-term study to determine the effect of prenuptial cohabitation on marriage. Their findings showed that more than 75 percent of all couples who lived together before marriage eventually divorced more than 50 percent more than the general population![7] Why is this? There are two primary reasons;
• Those who cohabit are less traditional in their family values. This means that true commitment and willingness to 'work at it' are far more important to the success of a marriage than a selfish, self-serving "fling." Obviously, many of those who 'shack up' never intend to get married.
• Those who have 'shacked up' are naturally far more likely to commit adultery in marriage than those who haven't. This makes sense adultery is, like fornication, a tangible result of lack of discipline and self-control.
Neil Bennett of the National Bureau of Economic Research confirmed these figures when he performed an in-depth study of 4,996 Swedish women who cohabited for periods ranging from one month to ten years. His report, entitled "Women in Sweden," found that, of those cohabiting women who eventually did marry, their divorce rate was 80 percent higher than for those women who did not shack up before marriage. Longevity in shacking up didn't seem to help a whole lot. Those women who cohabited with their future husbands for more than three years had a divorce rate 50 percent higher than for those women who did not live with their future husbands before marriage.[8]
None other than Mahatma Gandhi clearly enunciated the difference between a relationship based upon true love, devotion, and commitment, and one based purely upon lust;
Love based upon indulgence of animal passion, is at best a selfish affair and likely to snap under the slightest strain ... Is it force of habit which makes us think the sexual act to be necessary and desirable for the promotion of love, apart from procreation, in spite of the innumerable experiences to the contrary that it does not deepen love, that it is in no way necessary for its retention or enrichment?
When both want to satisfy the animal passion, without having to suffer the consequences of this their act, it is not love, it is lust. We have not had enough education of the passions ... Love becomes lust the moment you make it a means for the satisfaction of animal needs.[9]
The Critical Importance of the Family.
Our fallen human nature relentlessly drives for more and more freedom regardless of the damage that is done to society. In the end, of course, if society dies, individual freedoms soon follow collective freedoms down the drain.
However, this seems to be of little consequence to the sex-crazed Neoliberals. They fail to see that the destruction of marriage and the family has always led to the killing of the afflicted society.
Psychologist Zevedei Barbu wrote of the period just before the fall of the Greek Empire;
To start with, marriage was no longer considered a strict duty for the individual, as it was in the old days, but rather a convention, moreover, an artificial institution. The decline of conjugal fidelity is the main proof of this. Illicit unions no longer shocked the people.
In such a world dominated by a demimonde spirit, the individual withdrew himself from his society into the realm of his own interests. The birth rate fell step by step with an increasing desire for comfort and luxury. Men avoided as much as possible the duties of fatherhood. Abortion and exposure were frequent and seldom punished ...[10]
Oswald Spengler wrote a frightening parallel to Barbu's statement in The Decline of the West;
You are dying. I see in you all the characteristic stigma of decay. I can prove that your great wealth and your great poverty, your capitalism and your socialism, your wars and your revolutions, your atheism and your pessimism and your cynicism, your immorality, your broken-down marriages, your birth control, that is bleeding you from the bottom and killing you off at the top in your brains can prove to you that these are characteristic marks of the dying ages of ancient states Alexandria and Greece and neurotic Rome.[11]
Will we heed these warnings in time? Or have our addictions to sex and freedom already doomed us?
We will almost certainly find out by the turn of the century.
Fruit #3: Increased Promiscuity.

It goes without saying that the wide availability a drug like the birth control pill would appeal strongly to those persons with no particular sense of sexual ethics.
After the Pill was introduced in the mid-1960s, fornication and 'shacking up' both almost doubled in a period of only five years. This behavior also increased steeply when abortion was legalized in 1973.
People of all ages (but especially teenagers) are now fornicating more than ever before. Wife-swapping clubs, sex addiction treatment organizations like Sexaholics Anonymous, hard-core pornography, and 'fantasy [sex] tours' to Far East nations for the purpose of taking advantage of enslaved prostitutes have increased tremendously.
Even the original developers of the birth control pill now acknowledge that their invention has led to widespread promiscuity. Dr. Robert Kirstner of Harvard Medical School said that "For years I thought the pill would not lead to promiscuity, but I've changed my mind. I think it probably has."[12]
And Dr. Min-Chueh Chang, one of the co-developers of the birth control pill, has acknowledged that "[Young people] indulge in too much sexual activity ... I personally feel the pill has rather spoiled young people. It's made them more permissive."[13]
Min-Chueh was certainly correct in his assessment of the situation. In 1970, only 4.6 percent of all girls aged 15 had fornicated before marriage. In 1990, this rate had increased more than sevenfold to 33.1 percent. Of all unmarried girls in the 15 to 19 age bracket, 28.6 percent had fornicated in 1970. This rate had more than doubled to 61.4 percent by 1990.[14]
Fruit #4: Increased Abortions.
It may seem counterintuitive to assert that the vast increase of contraceptives that has been a result of the "Sexual Revolution" would contribute to a huge increase in abortions. After all, isn't contraception supposed to prevent pregnancy?
Well, it is supposed to, but it doesn't. The birth-control pill manufacturers and the 'family planning' groups like Planned Parenthood have convinced the public (and especially teenagers) that if they stay on the Pill or use condoms, they will be "all right."
This, of course, assumes that contraceptives work all the time and that they are used correctly all the time. However, since contraceptives frequently fail, and since there has been a huge increase in the use of birth control methods in the last 25 years, the inevitable result has been a huge increase in 'unwanted pregnancies' and, of course, abortions.
Chapter 99, "Contraceptive Effectiveness and Use," shows that there are more than two million contraceptive failures in this country alone every year.
The connection between higher contraceptive usage and greater rates of abortion has been acknowledged by the birth controllers themselves for a very long time. A quarter-century ago, Dr. Alan Guttmacher, the President of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, warned that "When an abortion is easily obtainable, contraception is neither actively nor diligently used. If we had abortion on demand, there would be no reward for the woman who practiced effective contraception. Abortion on demand relieves the husband of all possible responsibility; he simply becomes a coital animal."[15]
Shortly after the legal barriers to abortion began to come down, but still two years before Roe v. Wade, abortion statisticians Dr. Eugene C. Sandburg and Dr. Ralph I. Jacobs noted that many careless women simply didn't use a form of birth control at all, because 'abortion as backup' was so much easier and more convenient; "As legal abortion has become increasingly available, it has become evident that some women are now intentionally using abortion as a substitute for contraception."[16]
Finally, after a decade of examining the demographic impacts of permissive abortion laws in this country, Dr. Christopher Tietze wrote that
A high correlation between abortion experience and contraceptive experience can be expected in populations to which both contraception and abortion are available ... Women who have practiced contraception are more likely to have had abortions than those who have not practiced contraception, and women who have had abortions are more likely to have been contraceptors than women without a history of abortion.[17]
Fruit #5: Illegitimate Births.
The inevitable result of the combination of increases in fornication and of 'unwanted pregnancy' is obviously an increase in illegitimate births.
Professor Kingsley Davis of the United States Commission on Population Growth and the American Future states that
The current belief that illegitimacy will be reduced if teenage girls are given an effective contraceptive is an extension of the same reasoning that created the problem in the first place. It reflects an unwillingness to face problems of social control and social discipline, while trusting some technological device to extricate society from its difficulties. The irony is that the illegitimacy rise occurred precisely while contraceptive use was becoming more, rather than less, widespread and respectable.[18]
The illegitimacy rate for births among teenaged girls hovered around five to seven percent for decades, until about 1960. Between 1960 and 1970, it doubled as the birth control pill helped usher in the 'Sexual Revolution.' After 1970, the teenage illegitimacy rate literally exploded as comprehensive sex education programs and school-based clinics were introduced.
The overall illegitimacy rate for all children born in the United States was 5 percent in 1960. This rate has more than quintupled to more than 28%.[14]
This phenomenon is not just an ethical or religious concern: It is a profoundly practical one. It is common knowledge that children born into one-parent families are more likely to be abused and abusive, are much more likely to be undereducated and underemployed, are much more likely to have illegitimate children themselves, and are much more prone to criminal activity.
Fruit #6: Exploding Rates of Venereal Disease.
Some wrathful deity is extracting revenge for our decade-long orgy.

Introduction.
In the 70-year period from 1920 to 1990, the rate of venereal disease infection per 100,000 population has risen 750 percent. The cause of this explosion, which has taken place mostly in the past 20 years, is increased fornication and promiscuity.
This might seem obvious to the casual observer, but the sex educators and pill pushers just can't seem to make the connection.
The Situation in 1920.
In 1920, venereal diseases were concentrated in a very small segment of the population: Prostitutes, promiscuous homosexuals, and a small percentage of men (and sometimes women) who had the financial means to seduce a succession of sexual partners.
The average person did not even consider 'sleeping around,' because the morality of the time simply prohibited such activities. Anyone who did 'sleep around' was properly condemned as immoral and irresponsible.
Naturally, a lot of publicity was generated about the 'roaring 20s,' but, once again, this 'high society' activity was mostly practiced by the rich in larger cities. Those who indulged in completely uncontrolled sexual promiscuity represented no more than one percent of the population.
Only twelve sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) were catalogued in 1920, and seven of them were rare indeed. Today, there are over 50 recognized strains of STD, and more are being created every year. AIDS was nonexistent in 1920, and now it has killed more than 150,000 people.
The following paragraphs describe just a few of the many venereal 'blessings' the Sexual Revolution has showered upon those who partake of its pleasures.
AIDS.
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, which did not even exist 15 years ago, largely afflicts the most promiscuous and compulsive sex addicts of all: Homosexuals.
The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) attacks the body's immune system, rendering the person vulnerable to a host of opportunistic infections. To date, more than 150,000 persons have died of AIDS-related complications and health authorities believe that at least an equal number of unreported deaths have occurred.

Cervical Cancer.
Dr. V. Livingstone, in her mid-1940s public health work in New York and New Jersey, noted that virtually all long-time prostitutes had contracted cervical cancer from almost continuous sexual activity. Now, forty years later, there is an incredible rise in the nationwide incidence of cervical cancer among promiscuous young women who are not prostitutes.[19]
Chlamydia.
Since the most effective detection of this STD involves a review of the health histories of sexual partners, many infected persons are reluctant to undergo diagnosis, and continue to spread the disease. Antibiotics can cure this STD over a period of from one to two weeks.[19]
Genital Herpes.
This infection is caused by two closely-related strains of virus, Herpes Simplex Types 1 and 2, which may infect the lips, eyes, fingers, mouth, nasal membranes, and genitals.
Herpes used to be rare in this country, but now more than three million Americans are infected, with 300,000 more joining the ranks of the 'elect' every year. Symptoms include flue-like indications after about a week. The virus usually resides near the spinal cord, and returns to the site(s) of infection at fairly regular intervals, causing another round of symptoms to occur.
There have been studies that suggest links between genital herpes and cervical cancer, and some babies of infected mothers are born infected themselves. These babies commonly suffer profound nervous system damage, blindness, mental retardation, and death.[19]
Genital herpes is very easily transmitted, is incurable, and changes a person's entire lifestyle until the day he or she dies.
Genital Warts (Condyloma).
The rate of incidence of this STD, caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), has increased 400% in the last 15 years. Despite their name, these warts may occur at any moist site on the body that has been in contact with infected areas of other people who carry the virus. The latent period ranges from a month to a year, so a newly-infected person may transmit the virus very easily before realizing he is diseased. The infected person must usually undergo repeated treatments involving cauterization, laser burning, or use of powerful drugs such as podophyllin or trichloroacetic acid.[19]
HPV has been linked to cervical cancer and the warts may even block the birth canal, causing infections and mandating cesarean births.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID).
This condition is not an STD, but is commonly caused by gonorrhea, chlamydial infection, and other STDs. It is a broad term referring to a group of infections that lodge in the uterus, ovaries, and Fallopian tubes. About 15 percent of all women will suffer from PID at some point in their lives, and 1 million new cases are reported each year.
PID is a serious matter. About one-fourth of all outbreaks are severe enough to warrant hospitalization, and about 150 women die of PID each year. PID causes half of the 60,000 annual cases of ectopic (tubal) pregnancies in the United States. Tubal pregnancies account for about ten percent of all pregnancy-related deaths, and its incidence has tripled since 1965. The primary cause of this increase in PID has been the increase of gonorrhea and chlamydia.[19]
A single occurrence causes one in eight infected women to become sterile. This probability increases to one-half of all infected women by the third occurrence. PID also causes reproductive abscesses, chronic pain and physical disability, and repeated illness.
As with STDs, PID is most common in promiscuous women under 25. Antibiotics, including ampicillin and tetracycline, usually arrest or cure the infection.[20]
