U.S. Bishops' Conference - 1
On 26 November 2011, the Holy Father received the first group of U.S. Bishops to make their ad limina visit this year. In his address, the Pope observed that the increasing secularization of modern society calls for a re-evangelization, beginning with the Bishops themselves.

U.S. Bishops' Conference - 2
On 19 January 2012, in the Vatican's Consistory hall, the Holy Father received the Bishops of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Region IV, who were making a visit "ad limina Apostolorum". In his address, the Pope reaffirmed the Church's right to intervene in public affairs.

U.S. Bishops' Conference - 3
In his Private Library on Friday, 9 March 2012, the Holy Father received the Bishops of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Regions VII, VIII, IX, who were making a visit limina Apostolorum. In his address, the Pope called for a reasoned defense of marriage.

U.S. Bishops' Conference - 4
On 5 May 2012, the Holy Father addressed Bishops of the United States, Regions X-XIII on the occasion of their visit 'ad limina Apostolorum'. The Pope's address centered on religious education, since young people formed in the faith are the future of society.

U.S. Bishops' Conference - 5
On 18 May 2012, the Holy Father met the Bishops of the United States Regions XIV-XV, on the occasion of their visit ad limina Apostolorum. Included were the Bishops of the various Eastern Churches present in the United States. The Bishops were urged to embrace the patrimony of faith and culture of the many immigrant groups.
